Butt Sweat – How To Prevent It
Butt sweat is one of the more embarrassing forms of hyperhidrosis. Often it shows through the clothes and is difficult to hide.
What Is Butt Sweat?
Butt sweat is actually a form of excessive sweating called truncal hyperhidrosis.
It is usually seen when sitting down. You may notice it happening and start to feel the moistness. Standing up is the biggest fear of sufferers and often, the fear of standing up will actually make you sweat even more. This is because it is easily visible, not just in terms of a wet patch, but also because the clothes tend to sit between the cleft in the backside.
The other thing about this condition is that, unlike other forms of hyperhidrosis, there is not always visible dripping sweat from the buttocks. What actually happens is that condensation is actually occuring on the surface that you are sitting on.
Are You Overweight?
Be honest with yourself – are you overweight? Many people with “butt sweat” are overweight and the large nature of their buttocks means that the groinal area is less ventilated compared to others. Hence the greater propensity for condensation and less chance for moisture to evaporate, due to the build-up of heat.
Breathable Clothing
Also, make sure that you are only wearing breathable underwear and clothes such as 100% cotton. Avoid any synthetics, they will only increase any sweat production.
Natural Approach Is Best
Many of the traditional methods of treating hyperhidrosis, such as medical grade antiperspirants, iontophoresis, Botox etc., cannot be used for this type of excessive sweating due to risk of irritation or pain.
The best approach is the natural, holistic one. As a first suggestion, I would advise you to try the “raw food diet”. This is a diet that most closely approximates what human beings are supposed to eat and there are cases of hyperhidrosis sweaters who have been cured with this diet. You can find out more about it here: Raw Food Diet.
The other thing that you could try is one of the many holistic sweat reduction programs. They claim to eliminate your sweat within 2 weeks. You can find out more about those here: Top 3 Sweat Cures Revealed.

I am in the same situation. I am also overweight and have recently developed embarrassing “butt sweats.” I have noticed that many times it is when I am anxious though there are times when it happens that I do not feel anxious. Do you experience your sweats all the time or when you are nervous? I could really use some help myself and will pass along anything I find

I am 38. I am a bit overweight but, i think it is not the reason since, sometimes even if am naked from a recent shower is still shows when i am preparing for a stressful situation. Antiperspirants sometimes work. Although in cases in which the stress before performing is high it does NOT work at all, and is simply embarrassing

Im a 20 year old college student and I have also recently developed this problem. Sometimes I think its pretty funny but most of the time it sucks. I sweat sometimes when I get nervous but also when I have to poop. And sometimes these can be related but at times they arent. I use goldbond but that wears off pretty quickly. I havent actually tried deoderant yet but thats probably what im gonna go with next. I’m not at all overweight 6’1 180, so its got nothing to do with that. Another thing is that I sweat a lot, my armpits, ass, and hands.
